2. Services

Filament Labs provides custom 3D printing services, including but not limited to:

  • Rapid prototyping
  • Custom manufacturing
  • Functional parts production
  • Art and design pieces
  • Design consultation and modification services

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

3. Project Quotes and Pricing

All quotes are estimates based on the information provided and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Final pricing may vary based on:

  • Material costs and availability
  • Project complexity and print time
  • Special requirements or rush orders
  • Design modifications or revisions

We will notify you of any significant price changes before proceeding with production.

4. File Submission and Requirements

You are responsible for providing printable 3D model files in accepted formats (STL, OBJ, STEP). By submitting files, you warrant that:

  • You own or have the right to use the designs
  • The designs do not infringe on any intellectual property rights
  • The designs are not intended for illegal purposes
  • Files are free from viruses or malicious code

We reserve the right to refuse to print any design that violates intellectual property rights, is illegal, or is deemed inappropriate.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain all intellectual property rights to your designs and files. We will not:

  • Share your designs with third parties without permission
  • Use your designs for our own commercial purposes
  • Retain copies of your files longer than necessary

All content on the Filament Labs website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is our property or our licensors' and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.

6. Production and Delivery

Production timelines are estimates and may vary based on:

  • Current production queue
  • Material availability
  • Technical difficulties or equipment issues
  • Design complexity

We will make reasonable efforts to meet quoted timelines but are not liable for delays. Rush orders are subject to availability and additional fees.

7. Quality and Tolerances

3D printing technology has inherent limitations and tolerances. We strive for high quality but cannot guarantee:

  • Perfect dimensional accuracy (standard tolerance: ±0.5mm)
  • Completely smooth surfaces (layer lines are normal)
  • Absolute color matching to digital renderings
  • Uniformity across multiple prints

If you require specific tolerances or finishes, please discuss this with us before ordering.

8. Returns and Refunds

Due to the custom nature of our services, we generally do not accept returns or offer refunds. However, we will:

  • Replace items with manufacturing defects at no charge
  • Reprint items that do not meet agreed specifications
  • Work with you to resolve quality concerns

Claims must be made within 7 days of delivery with photographic evidence. We reserve the right to inspect returned items.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Filament Labs shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Damages exceeding the amount paid for the service
  • Issues arising from design flaws in customer-provided files
  • Performance of printed parts in their intended application

10. Warranty Disclaimer

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • Printed items will be suitable for any particular purpose
  • Items will be free from all defects
  • Services will be uninterrupted or error-free

You use our services at your own risk.

11. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be agreed upon for each project. Generally:

  • 50% deposit required before production begins
  • Remaining balance due before shipping/pickup
  • Payment accepted via bank transfer, credit card, or other agreed methods
  • Late payments may incur additional fees

12. Confidentiality

We will maintain confidentiality of your designs and project details. However, we may showcase completed projects in our portfolio unless you specifically request confidentiality.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of our jurisdiction.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
